Helping students see the difference between plurals and possessives can be one of the toughest lessons to teach.  Though this item is tagged for 2^nd and 3^rd grade, I think 4^th-6^th grade students will also benefit.  Definitely worth downloading.

Voracious Vocabulary Worksheet—Lekha Writing School—California

This freebie is a good organizational tool for getting students to collect and analyze new words.  The introduction asks students to choose ten new words, but it could work just as well for teacher-assigned words.  The idea would be easily adapted to different situations and grade levels.
