Margaret Nominates
Five Outstanding Freebies
May 12, 2012

From TeachersPayTeachers’ catalogue of more than 28,000 free items, here are five of the best:

Kristen has started with the Common Core Standards for English Language Arts and added details that explain and clarify.  These files are a good reference/resource to have on hand.  I’ll keep an eye out for other grade levels as soon as Kristen posts them.

This activity gives students some practical, every-day going-green ideas and it also provides thinking-skills practice.  A great Earth Day resource, but valuable any day of the year.

Bingo:  Fractions and Decimals—Teaching in Room 6—California
This is a great learning game that really requires the application of knowledge.   If fractions and decimals are on your list of things to teach, grab this one!

Cause and Effect Cut and Paste Activity—Josette LaBlanc—Louisiana
Excellent one-page, hands-on activity for teaching the cause-and-effect concept.  Teachers can expand this idea and apply it to social studies and science facts.

210 Journal Prompts—Ruth S—Connecticut
More writing prompts that I’ve ever found in a free product!  With this many, a teacher could assign an individual prompt to each child in the class several times during the year.  So much more creative (and interesting) than twenty-five versions of the same topic.  Appropriate for 4-8th grades.

Don't forget to leave feedback for these TpT teacher/authors.
